About strApp in Apps

Our Purpose:

At strApp in Apps our goal is to equip your phones and mobile devices with vital locations to government service such as Police, Fire and Hosptial locations.

With our city specific apps installed on your phone you’ll have the peace of mind that in those instances when you need help fast you will get it. In times when the 911 system is overwhelmed or has failed, you can get help with our apps.

The idea for these apps came about during the vicious storm, Hurricane Sandy that hit the New York area in the fall of 2011. If you happened to be New York City during that time and you needed help from the NYPD or FDNY, you were met with busy dial tones when you called 911. Some call wouldn't go through due to power outages and trees taking down power lines, it was a mess. The FDNY and NYPD weren't notified about numerous emergencies due to this mess and if you truly needed help you were in trouble. Response by these agencies where delayed due to the 911 system being inoperable. We like to think if our apps were available during that storm it could have helped some people out.

On September 11th, many calls could not go through to 911 due the phone systems being overwhelmed. An alternative was to go to these locations for help or to offer your help. Our apps will help you find the nearest Firehouse, Police Station or Hospital and get you there quickly.

Even if cellular service were to go down, the lists of addresses will still be accessible on your phone. The fee for this app is a very small price to pay for potentially life saving information.

At strApp in Apps we believe in giving back so a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charities and organizations that have ties to the Emergency Services sector. Please help us achieve our goal to give back to the Emergency Services community!
